How Does EWB PicoLaser Improve Your Skin?
EWB PicoLaser uses incredibly rapid and precise “picosecond” (one trillion of a second) laser beams to deliver short pulses on targeted problem areas of your skin.
The magic happens when the energy that focuses on the top layer of your skin breaks up pigment, allowing it to be lifted and removed by your body’s immune system naturally. When this happens, the skin responds by boosting collagen reproduction in its lower layers. This process helps reduces surface skin problems like pigmentation or acne scarring, which leads to tightened pores and improved skin tone and texture. Some patients have even seen a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles due to the increase in collagen production!

FAQ
The Pico Toning procedure will depend on the condition being treated and the size of the problem area being targeted. A procedure involving the treatment of an average-sized problem area will typically take about 10 minutes.
Your recovery time will vary based on the condition being treated – typically, you’ll be given 2-6 week intervals between treatments for pigmented lesions, 6-8 weeks for tattoo removal, and 3-4 weeks for acne scars and wrinkles. That said, aside from some precautions, you can expect very little downtime and can resume regular activities right after treatment.
After laser treatments, the skin is usually more vulnerable to sunlight. Excessive exposure to the sun or a heavy tan may interfere with treatment. It is recommended to minimize sun exposure and use sunscreen (SPF30+) where possible.
EWB PicoLaser is designed with your safety in mind, so incidences of any redness, scarring or other forms of physical damage are incredibly rare. Some procedures such as tattoo removal may cause temporary hypopigmentation, which will typically recover completely over time.
EWB Picolaser’s treatments are long-lasting, though some conditions where pigmentation may be recurrent may require more follow-up treatment. A treatment program every six months is observed to have been beneficial in terms of preventing the accumulation of pigmentation and slowing down the appearance of wrinkles or fine lines in some patients.
The amount of sessions needed varies based on the condition being treated. A modern, average-sized tattoo will take about 4-10 treatments for removal, while other skin revitalization programs may take 2-5 treatments. Your physician or treatment provider will provide you with the best personalized plan tailored to your own needs.
