High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) uses advanced ultrasound technology to target deep layers of the body’s tissue, boosting collagen production and regeneration for firmer, younger-looking skin. It’s a quick, non-invasive and relatively painless alternative to face lifts!
Originally, 5D Ultra HIFU was known for its use in treating tumours, but quickly gained recognition as an effective cosmetic treatment after its first recorded use for aesthetic purposes in 2008. 5D Ultra HIFU was then approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2009 for brow lifts, receiving further approval by the FDA in 2014 to improve lines and wrinkles of the upper chest and neckline (décolletage). 5D Ultra HIFU is also used for overall facial rejuvenation, lifting, tightening and body contouring – but these are currently considered “off-label” uses for 5D Ultra HIFU as the FDA has yet to approve 5D Ultra HIFU for these purposes.
That said, various clinical trials have found 5D Ultra HIFU to be both safe and effective for facial lifting and ironing out wrinkles; patients have reported positive results in only a few months after treatment, without any of the risks associated with methods that involve surgery, though 5D Ultra HIFU won’t work as well for people with more severe cases of sagging skin.
As a modern treatment that can replace conventional face lifts, especially for patients who don’t want the risks and recovery time involved in surgery, 5D Ultra HIFU is one of the most advanced and safest procedures yet!
